I love the Internets

There’s a lot of stuff I share on the Internet every day. Here’s a weekly round up of the things I most enjoyed last week by category.

  • Bill is a Fucking Jackass. “Bill continues to campaign, and management continues to ask the employees, and every time, the answer is in favor of the soda machine. This happens, lets say… 35 times. Eventually, Bill says “OK, I’M NOT PROCESSING PAYROLL ANYMORE UNTIL THE SODA MACHINE IS REMOVED”, so nobody will get paid unless management removes the machine.”
  • 15 TED talks that will change your life. I haven’t watched them all but judging by the ones on this list I have seen (1/2), I’d say I agree with the title.

  • Patty Griffin – Truth No. 2 I saw her Friday night at Cains Ballroom in Tulsa. She led with this song that I thought I’d never heard before and I loved it. Turns out, I had heard it. Proof? Here’s a video I just stumbled upon from my first Patty Griffin Show in 2007. What a cool find!
  • Patty Griffin – No Bad News One of my top five Patty songs. “You can’t have my fear, I’ve got nothin’ to lose. You can’t have my fear, I’m not gettin’ out of here alive anyway.” It was nice to see this show with several of my friends who are DEVOUT Patty fans. In an intimate setting. Perfect.
  • Blind Pilot – New York Could not get enough this song this week for some reason. It’s one of those slow-build dramatic songs with the sad guy voice and haunting music. Wistful lyrics. A virtual Sheri-jackpot. “And don’t keep me like you have me. And don’t kiss me like you don’t.” ::swoon::
